About the Practice

For over 40 years this office has successfully represented individuals and businesses throughout the United States.  This law firm has built its practice almost entirely on referrals from other lawyers and current or former clients.  We are grateful for the trust and confidence that our clients and other attorneys have placed in our law firm.  We work hard every day to continue to earn that trust.

Although based primarily in Austin and the surrounding area, we have not hesitated to travel to assist our clients in handling lawsuits all across Texas and the rest of the country.  We handle a broad range of civil and criminal litigation, as well as appeals when necessary.

The issues arising in our civil practice are too varied to list them all.  They include fiduciary litigation, real estate and construction cases, contracts and negotiations, disputes with insurance companies, employment issues, disputes among business owners/partners, and other complex commercial litigation.

Our fiduciary litigation includes matters involving breach of fiduciary responsibility, litigation pertaining to wills, trusts, guardianships and numerous other matters in probate courts.

Criminal cases range from relatively simple misdemeanors to more serious felonies including complicated white collar crimes. We have extensive experience in both state and federal courts.

Charles O. Grigson has been repeatedly appointed by state and federal judges to serve as receiver, trustee, administrator and other fiduciary capacities.  These appointments have involved the firm in litigation involving the motion picture industry, the recording industry, and related copyright and trademark disputes.
